Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Andie Hollowell, LMFT

Andie Hollowell, LMFT, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Terra Behavioral Health. She is a California-licensed clinician and behavioral health executive with over a decade of experience building and scaling high-quality, regulated treatment programs.


Prior to founding Terra, Andie served as a founding executive at Lightfully Behavioral Health, where she helped develop and scale a multi-site platform across residential, PHP, IOP, and virtual outpatient levels of care. She has also held executive leadership and growth roles at nationally recognized behavioral health organizations, including Monte Nido and Alsana, supporting the expansion of programs across all levels of care.


Clinician-trained and operator-led, Andie brings a relational, systems-based approach to leadership. As CEO of Terra, she is committed to building an organization grounded in ethical care, regulatory excellence, and environments where both patients and clinicians can thrive.

Founder & Executive Chairman
Barry Karlin

Barry Karlin is Founder and Executive Chairman of Terra Behavioral Health. He brings decades of experience building, scaling, and governing national behavioral health platforms, with a deep focus on clinical integrity, operational discipline, and long-term value creation.


Barry is the founder of CRC Health Group, which he built from concept into the largest behavioral health system of its kind in the United States, operating more than 165 facilities nationwide. Under his leadership, CRC scaled responsibly across multiple levels of care and was ultimately acquired by Acadia Healthcare in a landmark transaction.


At Terra, Barry serves as a strategic steward and governance leader, partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure that growth is thoughtful, disciplined, and aligned with the highest standards of care. His role is centered on protecting Terra’s clinical mission while helping build systems designed to last.

Vice President of Operations
Tessa Voss, MA, CADC-II

Tessa Voss HeadshotTessa Voss is the Vice President of Operations at Terra Behavioral Health, bringing over 15 years of experience in behavioral healthcare leadership. She began her career as a counselor and advanced into executive roles, including leading the Betty Ford Center and overseeing the California region for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.

 

Tessa is known for guiding complex, multi-site operations with a people-first mindset and a strong focus on clinical quality, culture, and sustainability. She has been repeatedly recruited to lead high-impact initiatives during periods of growth and transformation.

 

An experienced educator and mentor, Tessa has served as adjunct faculty at the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). At Terra, she oversees operations with an emphasis on trust, clarity, and consistency in care delivery.

Vice President of Finance & Controller
Joe Monteforte, CFA

Joe Monteforte serves as Vice President of Finance & Controller at Terra Behavioral Health. He brings deep experience in healthcare finance, financial controls, and operational reporting within regulated environments.

 

Joe partners closely with executive leadership to ensure financial discipline, transparency, and systems that support responsible growth. His work helps ensure Terra’s clinical mission is backed by strong financial stewardship and governance as the organization scales.
